Raffia is a natural fiber derived from raffia palms. To clean items made of raffia, gently use a very soft natural brush, feather duster, or soft cloth; avoid rubbing. Address spills immediately to prevent water from pooling on the surface. Keep away from hot objects. Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners should never be used as they can stain or discolor the raffia.
It's important to remember that our raffia is often used in conjunction with wood. Being a natural substance, wood reacts to variations in temperature and humidity. Extreme changes can lead to cracking in wood furniture and cause lacquers and finishes to separate.
